There are EIGHT major band parades in Northern Ireland this weekend, taking place over Friday and Saturday.

On Friday night (June 21), there are parades in Kilrea, Omagh, Keady, Killyleagh, and Benburb.

Meanwhile, parades are set to take place in Cookstown, Kilkeel and Belfast on Saturday night (June 22).

  • Boveedy Flute Band are hosting their annual parade in Kilrea, Co Londonderry, on Friday night;
  • Omagh Protestant Boys Flute Band are hosting the parade in Omagh, Tyrone, on Friday night;
  • Drumderg Loyalists Flute Band are hosting their annual parade in Keady, Co Armagh, on Friday night;
  • Inch Flute Band are hosting the parade in Killyleagh, Co Down, on Friday night;
  • Benburb Memorial Pipe Band are hosting the parade in Benburb, Tyrone, on Friday night;

Kilrea

In Kilrea, around 50 bands are expected to take part in Friday night's parade, hosted by Boveedy Flute Band. The parade gets under way at 8pm.

The parade route includes Kilrea orange Hall, Bank Square, Maghera Street, The Diamond, Coleraine Street, Mill Road, Bridge Street, The Diamond, Church Street, Around Roundabout At the Fire Station, Back down Church Street, The Diamond, Maghera Street, New Row, Kilrea Orange Hall.
