A security alert in the Markets area of Belfast ended this morning shortly before 9am.
A viable device was taken away for further investigation.
Inspector Ian McCormick said: “The security alert in Stanfield Place in the Markets area of Belfast has finished.
“ATO attended the scene and have described the suspicious object as a viable device.
“It has been taken away for further examination.”
